Segun Oyegbolu, the former SDP governorship candidate in Ondo State, forcefully stated that Shehu Gabam remains the legitimate National Chairman of the party, despite his recent expulsion. Speaking on Arise Television, Oyegbolu insisted the SDP is not in crisis, dismissing the expulsion claim as “beer parlour stories” not to be taken seriously. He argued that those attempting to expel Gabam are not authentic members of the party and are unknown to both the SDP and INEC. Oyegbolu stressed that all recognized state chairmen, verified by INEC as of January 30th, support the position that Gabam is still in charge.
