PDP presidential aspirant Ada Kate Uchegbu, a former journalist, has asserted that Nigerians are fed up with “recycled politicians” and that it is time the country had a female president. She argued that decades of male-dominated rule have trapped the country in despair, marked by insecurity, hunger, and unemployment. Uchegbu claimed a woman would bring a “nurturing and visionary” leadership style, stating that the nation needs a “fresh deal” and a “generational shift in both age and mindset.” She took the opportunity to appeal to all parties to present female candidates for the 2027 elections. She also stressed that Anambra voters must prioritize competence over cash, and called on INEC to ensure transparency and protect voters.
