The SEC approves FCMB-TLG Private Debt Fund’s N20 billion Series II offer.

In an effort to expand Nigeria’s private credit market, FCMB Asset Management Limited (FCMBAM) has obtained regulatory approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to move forward with the Series II Issuance of the FCMB-TLG Private Debt Fund, valued at up to N20 billion. Following the clearance, which represents a significant turning point in the Fund’s expansion plan, transaction documents were finalized at a formal signing ceremony in Lagos, indicating the impending launch of the Series II Offer.Building on the success of the Fund’s initial offering, Series II is designed to draw contributions from High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs) and Qualified Institutional Investors (QIIs). The proceeds from the sale will be used to finance mid-sized Nigerian businesses in important growth sectors that are in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN through structured corporate loans.
