When asked about the rumors surrounding Alonso, Henry told CBS Sports, “I don’t know what the [Real Madrid] board wants to do or not.” “I always think it’s absurd that a manager can get into difficulty after only six months on the job. Personally, I disagree with that. He stated, “I don’t think they should question the coach.” After leaving Bayer Leverkusen a few months ago, Alonso was named coach of Real Madrid.
