During the back and forth surrounding Ramat’s nomination, Oseni, the commission’s vice-chairman, took over as chairman. Prior to being named Vice Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Oseni began serving as a Commissioner in January 2017. In compliance with the terms of the Electricity Act, 2023, his appointment as Chairman became effective on December 1, 2025, and will continue until the end of his ten-year term at the Commission.
