The unexpected Olympic 100-meter champion from Tokyo, Marcell Jacobs, stated on Wednesday that if he can find “that spark again,” he may extend his career until the 2028 Los Angeles Games. “I would like to have a clear situation that would allow me to train at 100% if I were ever to find that spark again – the one I’m trying at all costs to re-light,” Jacobs, 31, said to Sky Sport Italia. In that scenario, it would last for at least three years rather than only one. Los Angeles 2028 would be the objective, the Italian continued.
