This week, Chelsea has entered critical discussions with Victor Osimhen’s agents, centering on overcoming a major obstacle: the player’s request for an annual salary of €12 million.
The anticipated salary has become a pivotal matter that could jeopardize Victor Osimhen’s summer transfer.
According to recent reports from Football Transfers, Chelsea and Osimhen are keen on reaching an agreement, but negotiations over personal terms have been challenging.
The report notes, “Osimhen wants to join Chelsea, and Chelsea wants to sign Osimhen,” emphasizing the mutual interest while pointing out that the wage demands pose a complicated challenge.
Chelsea are considering various ways to structure Osimhen’s contract in line with their internal salary framework in order to find a viable solution.
This could involve performance-related bonuses to enhance the attractiveness of the offer for the striker, while still maintaining Chelsea’s wage integrity.Insiders suggest that “Osimhen is unlikely to lower his salary expectations without incentives built into the contract,” indicating that negotiations may require a creative approach to bridge the gap.
