Granit Xhaka, who previously captained Arsenal, may be on the verge of an unexpected return to the Premier League this summer.
Sunderland has offered Xhaka the opportunity to return to England.
Before his departure to Bayer Leverkusen in 2023, the 32-year-old was well-liked at The Emirates
Xhaka secured a Bundesliga title during his spell at Leverkusen, following an unbeaten season.
The international from Switzerland seems to be preparing for another transfer.
Neom SC, a team from the Saudi Pro League, is also interested in Xhaka. Sky Sports Belgium reports that Sunderland is thought to have proposed a three-year contract to the player.
The Black Cats have begun talks with Leverkusen regarding a transfer that would set them back approximately €10 million.
