The possibility that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen will leave Galatasaray this summer has alarmed Turkish football analyst Serdar Ali Çelikler.
He emphasized the significant financial needs that must be met in order to make any such transfer possible.
With 59 goals in 74 games in all competitions, Osimhen has had an incredible season with the Turkish team, solidifying his position as one of Europe’s top forwards.
Several elite European teams, including Arsenal and Real Madrid, are reportedly interested in the Nigerian international due to his outstanding achievements.
But in a conversation on the Neo Spor YouTube channel, Çelikler stressed that potential purchasers might be turned off by the amount of money required to acquire the striker’s services.
No European team would be willing to spend €150 million, or around N241 billion, to complete the deal of the former Napoli striker, he said.
Çelikler said through Habersarikirmizi, “No one in Europe would pay 150 million euros in transfer fees and 21 million euros in net salary for Osimhen.”
He said that any team hoping to sign the former Lille attacker would probably have to negotiate a far lesser contract.
“They could secure Osimhen’s services if they offer between 75 and 100 million euros in transfer fees and he agrees to reduce his salary to 10 million euros.”
Additionally, Çelikler hinted that if interested teams fail to satisfy the necessary financial requirements during the upcoming transfer window, Osimhen might stay in Istanbul until the end of his contract.
He declared, “Osimhen would stay until his contract expires.”
The Nigerian international’s current deal with Galatasaray is scheduled to expire in the summer of 2029, although he still has about three years remaining on it.
