Nigel Reo-Coker, a former midfielder for West Ham United and Aston Villa, has stated that Arsenal will prefer to play Bayern Munich in the Champions League final rather than Paris Saint-Germain.
Reo-Coker made this statement following Arsenal’s victory over Atletico Madrid at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night in the Champions League semifinals.
Recall that Bukayo Saka’s lone goal of the match helped the Gunners upset Atletico 1-0 on Tuesday and secure their spot in the Champions League final.
“They [Arsenal] probably would want to face Bayern Munich [in the Champions League final] because they have the confidence of beating them,” Reo-Coker stated following the final whistle, as reported by CBS Sports Golazo.
The other Champions League semi-final second leg matchup will pit Bayern Munich against PSG, and the victor will play Arsenal in the championship game.
Earlier in the season, during the Champions League league phase, Vincent Kompany’s team had suffered a 3-1 loss against Arsenal.
