Melvyn Lorenzen, a striker for Uganda, has cautioned Nigeria and other Group C sides that they will have challenges at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. In the group stage, the Cranes will play the Super Eagles, Tunisia, and regional rivals Tanzania. Next Tuesday, Paul Put’s team will play Tunisia, the previous winners, to start their campaign before playing Tanzania and Nigeria. The favorites to advance from the group are Tunisia and Nigeria, who finished second in the last edition in Cote d’Ivoire. However, Lorenzen has cautioned that they will challenge their rivals. It’s always a positive outcome, even in the face of powerful nations. They have consistently presented themselves in a positive manner, and we have never fallen. Therefore, I don’t think any squad that plays us will feel at ease. It’s time to demonstrate that once more,” Lorenzen stated on the official website of the Uganda Football Association.
