According to the DAILY POST, Omorinsola Babajide, a forward for the Super Falcons, is committed to helping the team win Africa once more.
The goal of Justine Madugu’s team is to win back the championship that they lost to the South African Banyana Banyana in Morocco three years ago.
At the forthcoming 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Nigeria will compete against Tunisia, Botswana, and Algeria in Group B.
Babajide is one of 11 Super Falcons players who will be attending the competition for the first time.
Ahead of the tournament, which begins this weekend in Morocco, the former striker for UD Tenerife made her purpose public.
Babajide told the Super Falcons media, “My personal goal is to make my debut and I want to contribute as much as I can to the team’s winnings, goals, and assists, and I really want to win my first senior silverware.”
On Sunday, the Super Falcons will play Tunisia in Casablanca to start their pursuit of a tenth WAFCON championship.
