Moruf Oseni, Wema Bank’s managing director and CEO, has reiterated the organization’s dedication to promoting women’s empowerment and inclusion. He claims that the bank has continuously placed a high priority on gender inclusion through intentional programs and opportunities specifically designed for women.In a statement announcing the bank’s hosting of the 2026 International Women’s Day event, he made this claim. Building a vibrant society requires empowering women, he said, adding that the bank’s long-standing commitment to advancing gender equality in accordance with the UN Sustainable Development Goal 5 (SDG 5) is reflected in the 2019 launch of its women-focused offering, SARA by Wema.
