On Saturday, April 25, digital real estate platform QShelter Limited held the first edition of its fitness and lifestyle event, the 2004 M00VE Experience, at the 2004 Estate along the Monastery axis of the Lagos Coastal Road. Marathon winners took home cash awards in four different categories.
In the marathon division, which featured five-kilometer and 22-kilometer distances for both male and female competitors, Fadekemi Erinle, Gang James, Gyang Sunday, and Aminat Alabi emerged victorious.
Participants from all around the nation attended the event, which was organized in collaboration with The Fitness Religion Company and included a mini-marathon, fun run, aerobics, dancing classes, a five-a-side football game, and strength competitions. According to Kola Sowande, chairman of QShelter Limited, the purpose of the event was to increase awareness of the 2004 Estate project while supporting initiatives to alleviate Nigeria’s housing shortage.In addition to promoting our project, this campaign aims to raise awareness of the scope and goals of the 2004 Estate and aid in the reduction of Nigeria’s housing shortage. Chief Operating Officer Gbenga Alamu stated, “We think this is just the beginning and we look forward to making this an annual event.” The event was the result of intentional community participation and represented the local fitness culture. We decided to build on the fitness culture that already existed in this setting by developing a platform that unites individuals on a bigger scale. Beyond that, we are building a community that promotes inhabitants’ long-term value, wellness, and lifestyle in addition to housing,” he stated.
Tobi Bakre, a Nollywood actor who attended the event, praised the project as an admirable attempt to unite people via fitness, pointing out that the variety of activities made it possible for individuals of all ages and fitness levels to participate.
Erinle, the winner of the female 22-kilometer marathon, commended the organizers for the event’s excellence and stated that such initiatives were essential to Nigeria’s sports development.
The 2004 Estate, which was built in collaboration with Continental Civil General Construction Limited, is five meters above sea level and 23 minutes away from Victoria Island along the Lagos Coastal Road. Internal roads, a shopping center, gated security, solar and hybrid power systems, and a recreation center are all included.
