Yakubu Aiyegbeni, a former striker for the Super Eagles, has claimed that Nigeria’s match against Tunisia in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will be “tough.” On Saturday, the Super Eagles’ second AFCON game will take place against the North Africans. The Carthage Eagles defeated Uganda 3-1 on Tuesday, while Eric Chelle’s team enters the match having defeated Tanzania 2-1 in their first game.As a result, with three points apiece, Tunisia now leads Group C, closely followed by Nigeria. “We were lucky today [against Tanzania],” Aiyegbeni said to reporters in Morocco following Nigeria’s victory against Tanzania. “When you look at Tanzania, they have opportunities to kill the game, and we are fortunate to escape punishment.
