According to the DAILY POST, Nigeria defeated Tanzania 2-1 in their AFCON opener in Group C on Tuesday, thanks to goals from Semi Ajayi and Ademola Lookman; Tunisia defeated Uganda 3-1, with goals from Elyes Skhiri, Elias Achouri, and Denis Omedi; Senegal defeated Botswana 3-0 in Group D, while DR Congo defeated the Benin Republic 1-0 in Group E.
