Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has publicly thrown his state’s weight behind President Bola Tinubu, declaring Borno a “100% APC stronghold” that will provide “total support” for Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
Speaking at the APC’s North-East e-registration event, Zulum vowed that his government would ensure the success of the digital membership drive across the region. He credited the APC administrations of both former President Buhari and President Tinubu with restoring peace and rebuilding Borno after years of insurgency—a change he said transformed the state from a place “living in fear” to one with a changed story.
Essentially, Zulum is telling Borno residents to start mobilizing early for 2027 because, in his view, Tinubu’s continued leadership is the only path for Nigeria’s progress. The message is clear: Borno is locked in for Tinubu’s second term, and the party machinery is already humming.
