2027: Nomination forms are submitted by Governor Yusuf

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has formally submitted his nomination form to the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee for the 2027 governorship election.

Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor’s spokesperson, made this claim in a statement.

Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Senator Kawu Sumaila, members of the House of Representatives, and other esteemed state dignitaries accompanied the governor.

Governor Yusuf told reporters shortly after submitting his nomination form that the announcement of his second term was a new call to service and a renewed dedication to the people of Kano State.

He stated that while road construction, drainage expansion, and market modernisation would receive more attention, his administration would increase urban renewal projects throughout the state.

Rural development will continue to be a top priority, according to Governor Yusuf. He promised to increase funding for rural communities’ schools, healthcare facilities, water supplies, and feeder roads.

The governor stated that youth development and job creation would continue to be at the top of his administration’s agenda, and he also pledged increased support for agriculture and programmes that empower farmers and young people.

Governor Yusuf reiterated his dedication to enhancing the provision of healthcare and education throughout Kano State.

He emphasised that his administration’s main tenets are still unity, peace, and inclusive leadership.

The governor declared that he would keep collaborating with interested parties to advance Kano.

In order to bring more federal initiatives and opportunities to Kano, he also reiterated his support for the Renewed Hope Agenda.

In addition to thanking the Kano people for their ongoing support and faith in his leadership, Governor Yusuf promised them increased commitment, open governance, and development that is focused on the needs of the people.
