MTN reveals plan to invest N900 billion for enhanced service quality

MTN Nigeria has revealed plans for a substantial capital expenditure (CAPEX) initiative in 2025, with investments nearly reaching N900 billion. This move aims to greatly improve network service quality in major urban centers such as Lagos and Abuja and to extend these enhancements to additional regions.

During a recent TV interview, MTN Nigeria CEO Dr. Karl Toriola outlined this financial commitment, which is an increase from the combined total of around N440 billion spent in 2023 and 2024.

This includes proactively addressing site outages by ensuring timely payment for operational necessities such as diesel for generators, a persistent challenge in the Nigerian operating environment.
