Novak Djokovic, a seven-time champion, defeated Dan Evans in what might be the British veteran’s last Wimbledon match. Evans lost 6-3 6-2 6-0 in their second-round encounter despite being ranked 154th in the world and receiving a wildcard to compete at the All England Club. The 38-year-old Serb sensation Djokovic delivered a masterful serving display that at times left Evans scratching his head in shock.
Encouraged by a supportive Center Court crowd, the 35-year-old home favorite only won nine of his 58 receiving points (16%) during the game.
