Breaking: Nigerian President Tinubu Arrives Back in Abuja

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Abuja following a self-arranged trip to London and France.
Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Advisor on Information and Strategy, announced this on Monday night through a post on his 𝕏 handle, according to Naija News.

“President Tinubu has returned,” he wrote.

Recall that amidst calls for Tinubu’s rapid return to Nigeria as a result of escalating incidences of insecurity, Onanuga, in a statement on Thursday, April 17, 2025, maintained that the President’s absence remained temporary and is in keeping with the communicated timetable of about two weeks.

He added that Tinubu has kept ongoing connection with key government officials, monitoring crucial national concerns, including directions to security chiefs to address developing dangers in some parts of the country.

Onanuga noted that Tinubu’s return to Abuja and the resumption of responsibilities at Aso Villa will follow the conclusion of the Easter holiday.

On Wednesday, April 2, President Tinubu departed Nigeria on a two-week business visit to Paris, France.

The development was reported by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement.

The statement stated that during this tour, the President will analyze the mid-term performance of his government and review key achievements.
