Dauda Lawal, the governor of Zamfara State, will attend the fifth African Sub-Sovereign Governments Network (AfSNET) Investment Conference in Algiers, Algeria, along with other African officials.
On September 6, 2025, the conference is scheduled to take place alongside the fourth edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2025), which will be held at the Algerian Company of Fairs and Exhibitions Center (SAFEX) from September 4–10.
In a statement, the governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, said Lawal has been invited to participate in a high-level panel discussion titled, “Investment Showcase: Unveiling Opportunities from Select African and Caribbean Sub-sovereigns.” The IATF2025, convened by Afreximbank in collaboration with the African Union Commission (AUC) and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, is being hosted by the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria under the theme “Gateway to New Opportunities
