Igbokwe challenges Sowore, saying, “Tinubu is not your mate, apologize for calling him criminal.”

APC chieftain Joe Igbokwe has chastised activist-politician Omoyele Sowore for referring to President Bola Tinubu as a criminal.

Igbokwe urged Sowore to apologize to Tinubu and take back the deplorable, scurrilous remark.

Igbokwe reminded Sowore in a post on X that Tinubu is not his partner and that the president has accomplished more admirable things than he has.

He wrote: “My good friend Mr. Peter Claver introduced me to Sowore.” They both received degrees from the University of Lagos. We’ve been friends for years, and during that time, we’ve talked and reasoned together.

But when he referred to PBAT, the sitting president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as a criminal, I was completely taken aback and shocked.I suggested that he apologize to the President and take back the deplorable scurrilous drivels. He has not yet felt the need to express regret to the president or the Nigerian people who chose him to be their leader. His mate is not PBAT. The president of Nigeria, the largest, most populous, and wealthiest nation in Africa, is a former senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a former governor of Lagos State, the country’s economic hub, for eight years, and an international chattered accountant and scholar in the finest tradition. No one in Nigeria, living or dead, has had the same impact on people’s lives as PBAT has over the previous three decades. Go check. Ask questions now. Do your research. With the exception of Aluta Continua’s business and life on the streets, I have not seen any notable advancement since he left Akoka, aside from my role as President of the UNILAG Student Union. He only shifts from one police station to another, court to court, and prison camp to prison camp.

While his American wife and children are enslaved in the United States, he has become Mr. Nigerian protester. Sowore cannot keep squandering his priceless gift of life on division and hostility on the streets.

Every day, these activities are being reduced, and it no longer makes sense to people like us. He has been engaging in risky behavior; he is growing too conceited and, at best, foolish. I implore my friend Sowore to reconsider and put an end to this walk on the streets, which has at best become a non-event and irrelevant.

“It immediately tells us that 200 million people are criminals when you call the president we all elected a criminal. This is not acceptable. It’s unreal.
