“Anambra cannot be governed by semi-illiterates,” Soludo says of APC members Ukachukwu and Ekwunife.

The All Progressives Congress, or APC, candidate for governor, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, has been questioned by Chukwuma Soludo’s campaign council regarding his literacy level.

The council claimed that the candidate and his running mate’s inadequate educational backgrounds make them incapable of leading the state in a press release issued by Prof. Solo Osita Chukwulobelu, the Director General of the Soludo-Ibezim Campaign Organization (SICO) and the Secretary to the Anambra State Government.

Part of the release stated: “The qualifications of the candidates to hold such office are one of the fundamental issues for every election.

It is a crucial consideration when selecting a governor for Anambra, a state renowned for its excellence and home to some of Nigeria’s most educated leaders.

While criticizing Ukachukwu and his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, for their inadequate qualifications, the release listed the state’s past governors and their impressive credentials, including those of Soludo, who was described as having sterling credentials.

We can attest that Nicholas Ukachukwu/Uche Ekwunife, the APC’s nominee, has the weakest qualifications for the governorship in Anambra State’s history.

Nicholas Ukachukwu received disgraceful F9s in English, math, economics, and other subjects on his GCE submission. Basic literacy and numeracy, which are essential for efficient governance, are called into question by Ukachukwu’s certificate. Anambra cannot have a governor whose proficiency in reading, writing, or math is in question. That’s the problem!

“Mrs. Ekwunife, in her own form at INEC, swore in that her qualifications are: GCE and a PhD with no undergraduate degrees,” the council said of his running mate.

“Ukachukwu, the APC’s candidate for governor, and Ekwunife, his deputy, have successfully put forward the weakest or most phony qualifications ever for the position of governor of Anambra. Anambra never goes backwards; it always moves forward! The council said.
