Eredivisie giants Ajax have been drawn against Ferencvaros or Vojvodina Novi Sad in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League.
Ajax had a dismal season in 2025–2026, finishing fifth with their joint-lowest point total since 1962 (56). In early June, the Amsterdam team appointed Mühlel, a former Girona manager, as their new manager.
Last season, Vojvodina Novi Sad of Serbia placed second in the Serbian Super Liga, three points ahead of third-place Partizan and ten points behind winners Crvena Zvezda.
Between 2019 and 2025, Ferencvaros won the Hungarian NB I seven times in a row. However, ETO FC from Györ won their first title since 2013 last season. Ferencvaros finished one point behind ETO FC and lost the championship on the last day.
Ferencvaros and Vojvodina Novi Sad will play each other on July 9 and 16, with the Serbians hosting the opening leg. The victors will play FC Twente in the UEFA Europa League’s second qualifying round on July 23 and 30, while the losers will play Ajax.
