A suspected cult shooting in a Lagos community claimed the lives of two people.

Two unidentified men were confirmed dead following a suspected cult-related shooting that caused panic near the Ikota Complex in the Ajah area of Lagos State on Tuesday night. An anonymous source reported that armed men suddenly appeared at the busy location and began shooting indiscriminately, leading to widespread chaos as residents, shop owners, and passersby fled for safety. When the area calmed down, the two young male victims were discovered lying lifeless in separate spots, both having sustained gunshot wounds. The anti-cultism advocacy group, Naija Confra, later posted on Wednesday confirming the incident was a clash between rival cult groups, stating that members of the Aye confraternity launched the attack, reportedly targeting two individuals, though the police spokesperson for the Lagos State Command, Abimbola Adebisi, could not be reached for comment on the matter.
