During a Christmas service at St. James’ Anglican Church in Iperu-Remo, the governor expressed his desire to set a historic precedent by overseeing a transition free of the political tension typically seen in the state’s history. He shared his goal of finishing his tenure strongly and personally attending both his farewell ceremony and the inauguration of his successor. Abiodun credited his optimistic outlook to the state’s significant economic progress and industrial growth under his watch, noting that the local economy has expanded nearly five times since he took office. Additionally, he praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s national policies and reminded the public that the true meaning of Christmas lies in compassion for the less fortunate and moderate celebration.
