A 13-count indictment against suspected coup plotters against President Bola Tinubu has been filed by the Federal Government before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
A retired major general, a retired naval captain, a current police inspector, and three additional people are among the suspects.
Recall that investigations into a purported coup attempt to oust President Bola Tinubu’s government were completed by Nigerian security forces.
Forty suspects were purportedly found in relation to the purported scheme.
Two civilians were detained for reconnaissance, two for inciting civil disobedience to support the coup, sixteen military officers were detained for direct involvement, and five more were detained in relation to financial sources.
