Jose Mourinho, the manager of Benfica, has acknowledged that he would rather win the championship than finish the season undefeated.
The Portuguese team did not make it to the Champions League, even though they did not lose any games.
Mourinho has now stated that he would have wanted to have something to celebrate at the end of the season.
Mourinho remarked, “The unbeatable thing is a great thing.”
“This is the first time in my professional life. Even though I won eight titles, I was never unbeatable.
“With two or three losses, without a doubt, I would change that for the title.”
Benfica defeated Estoril 3-1 to round out the season, with goals from Rafa, Alexander Bah, and Richard Ríos.
