Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has admitted his players did not “perform well” in the Europa League final on Wednesday night.
The Red Devils lost 1-0 to Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur in Bilbao.
Brennan Johnson scored the only goal of the game in the first half of the game, following a defensive mix-up.
Despite Amorim’s men attempting to regroup after the break, they could not penetrate Spurs’ defense.
This result signifies that United have been defeated in all four matchups against Ange Postecoglou’s team this season.
Amorim said to TNT Sports, “I have always been very honest with you guys.”
We weren’t flawless and have many areas to improve, but my honesty with you all has always been unwavering.
