A four-bedroom apartment at No. 1 Happiness Close, Akufo Estate, Elebu neighborhood of Ibadan, was completely destroyed by fire early on Monday.
This was revealed in Ibadan on Monday by Mr. Yemi Akinyinka, the general manager of the Oyo State Fire Services Agency.
According to Akinyinka, the agency received a distress call at precisely 1.13 a.m. and quickly sent a team to the scene.
He claims that when the firefighters arrived, they saw a well-lit private residence with four bedrooms.
The firefighters were able to stop the fire from spreading to neighboring houses and properties by acting quickly.
The general manager stated, “No casualties were reported, and the firefighters were also successful in rescuing the family from the building.”
According to Akinyinka, the building’s solar panel overheated, caught fire, and ignited other flammable objects, causing the fire.
