On Wednesday, Governor Dapo Abiodun reaffirmed his commitment to constant infrastructure development throughout the state as the Ogun State Executive Council approved the rebuilding of more highways.
This was announced at the council’s weekly meeting.
The 5.4 km Ogbeere–Orita Mobi Junction Road in Ijebu East Local Government, the 3.2 km Erinlu–Imosan Road in Odogbolu Local Government, and the 2.0 km Imodi–Imosan Road in Odogbolu Local Government are among the recently authorized roadways.
In order to fortify the state’s security architecture and protect infrastructure throughout the state, the administration also approved the purchase of cutting-edge security devices.
Governor Abiodun, meanwhile, has praised the level of work completed at the Onijaganjagan Independent Power Plant and pledged to provide regular power to the residents of Abeokuta and the surrounding area as soon as possible.
Recall that eleven new roads throughout the state were recently approved for renovation by the governor.
The highways are as follows: 5.5km Iperu Junction to Ilishan Roundabout (Gateway International Airport Road); 4km Imasayi-Igan Okoto-Ayetoro Road, Phase 2B; 3km Imasayi (end of Phase 1) to Igan Okoto, Phase 2A; and 9.2km Akute Bridge to Agbado (Lateef Jakande) Train Terminal/Pass/Agbado Bridge.
These include the following: 2.93km Federal College Road, Odogbolu; 2.8km General Hospital – Aferiku, Ipokia; 1.7km Oke Erinja to Erinja to Ilobi Road, Phase 2; 3.8km Gao Junction to Ibiade Road – 3.8km; 2.75km Abeokuta Obalende-Ijebu Ode Road; 1.1km Osinubi New Road (Araromi Street), Ijebu Ode; and 0.85km Tam Balogun, Ijebu Ode.
