The National Automotive Design and Development Council projects revenues of more than N150 billion starting in 2026 and says it would take advantage of the country’s mostly unofficial vehicle recycling business.The project will be led by a comprehensive End-of-Life Vehicle program that has already been authorized for implementation, according to Joseph Osanipin, Director-General of NADDC. According to Osanipin, the policy would formalize the recycling of automobiles that have reached the end of their usable lives, transforming what is presently a safety and environmental burden into a significant economic opportunity.
