As the Auto Component Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (ACMAN) gets closer to launching an automated national platform that will give vehicle assemblers instant access to locally manufactured spare parts, Nigeria’s automotive industry is set for a major aftersales transformation in 2026. During his keynote speech at the Nigeria Auto Journalists Association (NAJA) Awards Night, which took place on Tuesday at the Oriental Hotel on Victoria Island in Lagos, ACMAN Chairman Anselm Ilekuba revealed the news. The strategy represents a deliberate effort to increase local content and progressively replace imported parts.
