Ahmed Musa vows to restore Kano Pillars’ glory, targets global excellence

Ahmed Musa, the general manager of Kano Pillars and captain of the Super Eagles, has promised to reposition the team and make it one of Africa’s premier football institutions again.

Musa made this pledge at a familiarization meeting with the club’s chairman, Alhaji Ali Muhammad Umar, and board members on Monday. He said he was determined to change the club and continue its illustrious history.

The former Leicester City and CSKA Moscow attacker stressed that the moment has come to work hard to globalize the four-time Nigerian champions, according to Kano Pillars FC’s Media and Communications Directorate.

Our club, Kano Pillars, is among the most prosperous in Nigeria, but things have changed recently, Musa stated.

“I want to reassure everyone here that I will do everything in my power to reposition the club and make it one of the best in Africa and the world, with your help and the support of the Board members.”

Musa emphasized that his knowledge of the domestic league and his vast experience playing football in Europe would be invaluable assets in realizing this goal. He also emphasized that in order to advance the club, management, players, supporters, and partners must work together, plan strategically, and be dedicated.

The appointment of Musa as General Manager by the Kano State Government under Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf is part of the deliberate efforts to reposition Kano Pillars in line with global best practices.

With Musa at the helm, the club is looking forward to a new era of professionalism, renewed ambition, and excellence, aiming to inspire fans across Kano, Nigeria, and beyond
