As insecurity increases, APC leader Ayekooto demands the establishment of a US military base in Nigeria.

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ayekooto Akindele, who is a strong supporter of President Bola Tinubu, is now advocating for a United States military base in Nigeria due to the worsening security crisis.
In a Facebook post, Ayekooto clarified his position, stating that having a base in Nigeria would be a precaution and not an invasion. This stance follows his earlier public objection to U.S. President Donald Trump’s threat to send U.S. troops to Nigeria to address the alleged massacre of Christians.
He wrote, “We may need to consider a US Military Base in Nigeria. That is not an invasion but a precaution.”
This advocacy comes as the security situation in Nigeria continues to deteriorate, with bandits and terrorists escalating their attacks across the country.
