Lewis Chinemerem Obianyi, the representative for Ukwa East in the Abia State House of Assembly, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party to join the Labour Party. He formally announced his change in political allegiance on Tuesday during a legislative session. Obianyi is recognized for his active participation in the House and for sponsoring numerous bills. An associate indicated that the internal conflicts within the PDP played a significant role in the lawmaker’s decision to switch parties.
