On Saturday, August 16, 2025, by-elections will be held in all impacted constituencies, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission.
In order to fill the seats in the National and State Assemblies that have become vacant as a result of resignations, deaths, or court annulments, elections are being held.
Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, the chairman of INEC, said this at Thursday’s consultative meeting with political parties in Abuja.
