Heavy floods has made the Makurdi–Lafia–Abuja route unusable just hours before President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s planned visit to Benue State.
The highway has been overwhelmed by heavy floodwater, trapping drivers and passengers, according to the DAILY POST.

The affected route, a major corridor into Makurdi, has forced commuters to either postpone their journeys or seek shelter in safer areas.

Concerns have been raised by the flood’s timing, which aligns with increased security and logistical preparations for the president’s one-day visit to express sympathy for the Benue people following the horrific massacre in Yelewata.
There will be more.
