Nigeria will participate in the worldwide observance of the Day of the Seafarer, celebrated each year on June 25th.
The theme for this year is: “My Harassment-Free Ship,” which aims to foster a culture of respect and a strict no-bullying-and-harassment policy at sea. Dr. Dayo Mobereola, the Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), underscored the significance of acknowledging seafarers’ roles in international trade and the global economy.
