In an attempt to assist Muslims during the Ramadan fast, Senator Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan, the president of the 9th Senate, has given 17,000 bags of rice, millet, and sugar to Yobe State citizens. Over the weekend, the distribution ceremony was kicked off in the state’s Nguru Local Government Area. The former Senate President stated during the exercise, which was conducted by the Senator Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan Foundation, that the gesture was intended to make it easier for the Muslim community to observe the holy month of Ramadan.He clarified that 1,000 bags of the three foods would be distributed to All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters, stakeholders, and community members who are at risk in each local government area.
