Fiorentina confirmed on Thursday that veteran striker Edin Dzeko had returned to Serie A after joining on a free transfer from Fenerbahce.
A one-year contract with an automatic extension to stay for a second season “if certain conditions are met” has been signed by the 39-year-old.
Prior to enjoying a two-year stint at Inter Milan, when he won the Italian Cup in 2022 and 2023, Dzeko spent six seasons in Serie A with Roma.The all-time top scorer in Bosnia and Herzegovina, who won two Premier League championships with Manchester City, finished the previous season with 21 goals across all competitions for Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce before his contract expired.
