In order to properly address its escalating youth unemployment crisis, Kano State must create at least 300,000 new jobs annually, according to renowned economist and university don Professor Murtala Sabo Sagagi of the Dangote Business School, Bayero University, Kano. Speaking at the Worldwide Initiative for Community Development and Global Healthcare’s (WIFCOH) fifth Purple Bow Youth Leadership Conference, a member of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Central Bank of Nigeria stated that the recommendation came from a thorough study carried out over ten years ago.
