Wayne Rooney, a former striker for Manchester United, continues to support Arsenal as “slight favorites” to win the Premier League.
At the Etihad on Sunday, the Gunners were defeated 2-1 by Manchester City.
The hosts’ first goal came from Ryan Cherki, but a minute later, Kai Havertz tied the score.
Erling Haaland scored the game-winning goal just as Arsenal was about to take the lead.
City fell three points behind Arsenal as a result, but they may catch up with a victory at Burnley in the middle of the week.
With five games remaining, Rooney thinks Mikel Arteta’s men cannot be written off.
“This title race is not over yet; I still feel like there are some more twists and turns to come,” he stated.
“It will undoubtedly be close, but I still have Arsenal down as a slight favorite because City has one more game to try to win.
