Novak Djokovic, a seven-time champion, defeated Dan Evans in what might be the British veteran’s last Wimbledon match. Evans lost 6-3 6-2 6-0 in their second-round encounter despite being ranked 154th in the world and receiving a wildcard to compete at the All England Club. The 38-year-old Serb sensation Djokovic delivered a masterful serving display that at times left Evans scratching his head in shock. Encouraged by a supportive Center Court crowd, the 35-year-old home favorite only won nine of his 58 receiving points (16%) during the game.
Djokovic, who is ranked sixth this year, converted six of his 16 break points, further proving why he remains one of the top returners in the men’s game.
