To improve accountability, transparency, and compliance monitoring throughout more than 700 Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), the Federal Character Commission (FCC) has introduced a new website and integrated digital platform.
Hulayat Motunrayo Omidiran, the Executive Chairman of the FCC, praised the website’s debut yesterday as a turning point in the commission’s reform process and a strategic alignment with international standards of public sector governance.
In addition to increasing visibility and operating efficiency, the new official website offers a uniform, easily navigable, and user-friendly platform for the public to interact with the Commission more successfully.President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which emphasizes inclusive government, innovation, and digital transformation as pillars of national growth, is in line with this program.
The Deputy Senate President’s wife, Hajiya Laila Barau Jibril, spoke on behalf of First Lady Oluremi Tinubu and emphasized the initiative’s wider national significance.
According to Hajiya Laila, “this platform is a bold statement of purpose, demonstrating that our institutions are ready to meet the demands of a modern, digital society.”
Beyond technology, it serves as a link between the public and the government, fostering inclusivity, bolstering confidence, and guaranteeing that all Nigerians have unimpeded access to opportunities and information.Mallam Sadiq Wanka, on behalf of Vice President Kashim Shettima, praised the Commission’s leadership for embracing innovation as a vehicle for institutional efficiency and national harmony.
“The administration’s commitment to using technology to improve governance systems, advance justice, and guarantee that opportunities are distributed fairly throughout the federation is reflected in this initiative.”
Dr. George Akume, Secretary of the Government of the Federation, stated that the website’s launch is a calculated move to improve institutional performance and increase accountability throughout government operations.
