Former EFCC Director has said that INEC Chairman, Professor Joash Amupitan, will not advise Nigerians to take electoral matters to court.

Former EFCC Director, Ayo Olowonihi, has expressed confidence that the newly appointed INEC Chairman, Professor Joash Ojo-Amupitan, will ensure Nigerians elect their leaders through credible and transparent elections.

Olowonihi shared this view on Thursday during an interview on ‘Prime Time’ on Arise Television.

He stated that Amupitan has the courage, integrity, and dedication required to strengthen Nigeria’s democratic process.

“Amupitan is the INEC chairman who will let Nigerians elect their leaders. He won’t be the type to tell people to ‘go to court.’ He’s hardworking, of good character and integrity, and the more challenging the task, the harder he’ll work,” Olowonihi said.

He added that Amupitan’s extensive experience in academia and law equips him to lead INEC with fairness and determination.
