Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State have concluded a four-day strategy meeting, organized by former governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje at his Kano home, to prepare for the 2027 general elections. The meeting included party leaders from all 44 local government areas, with the final session involving stakeholders from the Kano North Senatorial District.
Ganduje explained that the long consultations were aimed at building unity and trust within the party and reaffirming the party’s solidarity with the Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He reported that delegates and executives showed a strong commitment to maintaining APC dominance in Kano and across Nigeria.
Following the meeting, Ganduje announced a key resolution: leaders from all 44 local governments requested permission to begin public endorsements of President Tinubu as the APC’s sole presidential candidate for 2027. Ganduje stated that all local governments are now directed to gather party officials, stakeholders, and supporters to publicly endorse Tinubu.
In preparation for grassroots mobilization, Ganduje directed that APC offices across all LGAs and wards be reopened and fully active. He also detailed plans for the party’s upcoming digital registration exercise, instructing each local government to provide three computer experts to be trained at the state headquarters and deployed. He expressed confidence that Kano would once again produce the highest number of registered party members. Finally, he encouraged officials to intensify mobilization for the ongoing INEC voter registration, urging new voters to register.
This meeting culminates a series of consultative sessions in Kano.
