On Day 7 of the Ardova Handball Premier League 2025 Phase 1, Lagos Seasiders secured their inaugural win of the season with a tough 26–22 triumph against Osun United. The match took place at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Edo State.
The Seasiders were ahead 11–9 at halftime and managed to keep their composure in the final moments to resist a fierce second-half challenge from newcomers Osun United in one of the day’s most closely fought contests
In other men’s matches, the past champions Safety Shooters showcased their superiority by defeating Adamawa Warriors 40–31, having led 20–14 at halftime. COAS Shooters bolstered their remarkable performance with a decisive 37–27 victory against Benue Buffaloes, dominating the match from the outset and holding a 17–11 advantage at halftime. Meanwhile, defending champions Tojemarine Academy recovered from their loss the previous day, defeating De Defenders 37–25. The title holders surged to a 19–10 halftime lead and maintained control throughout. Rima Strikers fought hard for their victory against a resolute Correction Boys team, ending the match at 25–24.
In the women’s category, Safety Babes mounted a spirited second-half comeback to defeat Rima Queens 22–21, overcoming a halftime deficit of 14–11 and keeping their title defense alive
