Handball: Tojemarine defeats Adamawa Warriors in a thrilling comeback

On Day 3 of the Ardova Handball Premier League 2025 Phase 1 in Benin City, Edo State, defending champions Tojemarine Academy defeated a tenacious Adamawa Warriors team 29–27 thanks to an exciting second-half comeback.

Tojemarine appeared destined for another loss after losing to COAS Shooters in their last game, behind 12–16 at the half

But thanks to a determined comeback in the second half, which was fueled by unrelenting pressure and skillful finishing, they were able to retake the game and win their second straight game.In other men’s matches, Rima Strikers overcame the Lagos Seasiders, winning 32–17 in spite of trailing 14–16 at halftime. Building on their 11–8 halftime lead to dominate the second half, Niger United defeated Benue Buffaloes 21–17 to extend their winning streak.

COAS Shooters crushed Osun United 25–13, while Safety Shooters easily defeated De Defenders 38–27. The Army team’s main player, Adeshola Adelakun, scored ten goals in a commanding performance that put them ahead 14–4 at the half.
